YMCA Financial AssistanceThe Y is a 501(c)3 non-profit and is one of the largest philanthropic organizations in the world. Every day, the YMCA of Southeastern NC offers quality, affordable programs and services designed to benefit people of all incomes and backgrounds. The Y is an essential part of our community and it belongs to everyone regardless of income, which is why we offer financial assistance to qualifying individuals and families who cannot afford membership.
Each year the YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina provides more than $400,000 in financial assistance locally. These funds are raised through donations made to our Annual Campaign and through special events and grants.
Who QualifiesWe use a sliding fee scale based on total household income and the number of household members. We also consider special circumstances when providing assistance so please include any and all information you feel is applicable to your current situation.
Recipients are expected to be responsible for a percentage of their program and membership fees. Qualification for financial assistance is reviewed every year.

Building confidence and setting young girls down the path of a healthy lifestyle is PRICELESS! However, there are real costs associated with operating a non-profit organization and delivering the Girls on the Run program to approximately NUMBER girls in the COUNCIL AREA area each year. Registration is $85 per girl and includes (Affiliates of our Council may charge a different fee based on their progam):
